Triloop ("us", "we", or "our") operates the "Alarm Clock: Wake up Smart" mobile application (the "App").

This page informs users about our policies on the collection, use, and disclosure of information if anyone uses our Service.

By using Alarm Clock: Wake up Smart, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Information is used only to provide and improve the Service. We do not sell or share your personal information except as described here.

Terms used here have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions unless defined otherwise.


1. Information Collection and Use

Alarm Clock: Wake up Smart provides alarm, world clock, stopwatch, timer, and screensaver features.

Alarm & App Data

The app stores information locally on your device, including:

  • Alarm settings (time, label, repeat days, vibration, snooze)
  • Alarm and timer sounds you select
  • Timer and stopwatch data
  • World clock cities and display options
  • App settings (dismiss method, volume-button behavior, week start, night mode, and similar preferences)

This data is used only to provide app functionality. We do not send your alarm, timer, world clock, or settings data to our own server.

Device Information

Third-party services (if enabled) may process limited device-related information such as:

  • Device model
  • Android version
  • App version
  • Language settings
  • Crash or diagnostic data (only if such a service is added)

This helps improve stability, compatibility, and performance.

Advertising Data

The app includes advertising support (Google AdMob). In the current version, ads are turned off, so we do not request ads or show an ad-consent form.

If a later version enables ads, advertising partners may collect:

  • Advertising identifiers
  • Device information
  • Approximate location
  • App interaction data

That information may be used for personalized or non-personalized ads. You can manage ad personalization in your device settings.

Microphone / Sound Preview

If you preview a ringtone or timer sound, the app may use microphone-related permission only so Android can show a waveform of audio already playing in the app. The app:

  • Does not record phone calls or conversations
  • Does not save microphone recordings
  • Does not upload audio to a server

Personal Data

We generally do not require personally identifiable information (name, email, account) to use the app.


2. Data Storage and Security

Most app data is stored locally on your device (on-device database and preferences). Android backup may copy local app data if device backup is enabled.

We use reasonable measures to protect information. No method of electronic storage is completely secure.

If ads or other third-party services are enabled, those providers may process limited data under their own privacy policies.


3. Permissions We Use and Why

Our app uses the following permissions to provide core functionality and improve user experience.


Exact Alarm Access

Purpose: Used to trigger alarms at the exact user-selected time.

Permissions:

  • android.permission.SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM
  • android.permission.USE_EXACT_ALARM


Wake Lock

Purpose: Keeps the device active while an alarm is ringing so alarm sound and vibration continue properly.

Permission:

  • android.permission.WAKE_LOCK


Full Screen Alarm Display

Purpose: Allows the alarm screen to appear over the lock screen so you can dismiss or snooze easily.

Permission:

  • android.permission.USE_FULL_SCREEN_INTENT


Boot Completed Access

Purpose: Restores scheduled alarms automatically after the device restarts or the app is updated.

Permission:

  • android.permission.RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED


Foreground Service

Purpose: Ensures alarms keep ringing reliably while the app is in the background or the device is locked.

Permissions:

  • android.permission.FOREGROUND_SERVICE
  • android.permission.FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK


Notification Permission

Purpose: Displays alarms, timer alerts, and other important notifications.

Permission:

  • android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS


Battery Optimization

Purpose: Asks the system not to pause the app overnight so scheduled alarms can still fire on time. This is optional and user-controlled.

Permission:

  • android.permission.REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS


Audio Settings

Purpose: Plays alarm and timer sounds on the correct audio stream and volume.

Permission:

  • android.permission.MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS


Microphone / Audio Visualization

Purpose: Used only so Android can draw a waveform while you preview a ringtone or timer sound in the app. The app does not record conversations, does not save microphone audio, and does not upload audio.

Permission:

  • android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO


Internet & Network Access

Purpose: Required to load ads (when ads are enabled) and to communicate with Google services.

Permissions:

  • android.permission.INTERNET
  • android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE


Advertising ID

Purpose: Used by advertising providers to display relevant advertisements when ads are enabled. Ads are currently turned off in this version.

Permission:

  • com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID


Personal Data

We generally do not require personally identifiable information to use the app.

Limited technical data may be collected by third-party services for advertising or diagnostics if those services are enabled.

Anonymous usage statistics and diagnostic information may be collected only if we add such services in a future update.


4. Third-Party Services

The app may use trusted third-party services including:

Google AdMob

Used to display advertisements when ads are enabled. AdMob may collect device identifiers and advertising-related information according to Google’s Privacy Policy.

Google User Messaging Platform (UMP)

Used to display consent forms where required (for example GDPR) when ads are enabled.

Room Database

Used to store alarm and world-clock data locally on your device.

We do not currently use Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, or a custom backend API in this app.


5. Data Retention and Deletion

Most application data remains stored locally on your device.

You can delete individual alarms or settings in the app. If you uninstall the app or clear app data, locally stored data is removed from the device. Device backups may keep a copy until you delete the backup.

Data processed by third-party services (if ads or similar services are enabled) is subject to their own retention policies.


6. Cookies

The app itself does not directly use cookies.

Third-party services such as Google AdMob may use cookies or similar technologies if ads are enabled.


7. Children's Privacy

Alarm Clock: Wake up Smart is not directed toward children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us so we can take appropriate action.


8. Your Rights Under GDPR

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), you may have the right to:

  • Access your data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion
  • Restrict processing
  • Object to certain processing
  • Data portability

For clock data stored only on your device, you can edit or delete it in the app, or uninstall the app. Contact us to exercise other rights.


9. CCPA Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you may have rights under the CCPA, including:

  • Right to know what information is collected
  • Right to request deletion
  • Right to opt out of the sale of data
  • Right to non-discrimination

We do not sell personal information.


10. International Data Transfers

If ads or other Google services are enabled, those providers may process data outside your country. They are responsible for appropriate safeguards for those transfers.


11. Compliance with Legal Obligations

We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, and only when legally necessary.


12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

Changes will be posted on this page and become effective when posted.
